Fun Facts: Washington Redskins Presidential Predictor

Filed under: NFL News — Tags: , ,

The Washington Redskins are prehaps the best predictor of who will be elected president. Interestingly since 1936, every time the Redskins won their final home game before election day - the incumbent party has won the election. The only exception is that John Kerry lost in 2004.

On November 3rd, 2008 the Pittsburg Steelers won the Monday night football game against the Redskins. Ben Rothlisberger got hurt and Byron Leftwich stepped in and lead the Steelers to victory. Despite the best efforts of the Redskins starts like Clinton Portis and Santana Moss they could not best the Pittsburg Steelers. If the Reedskins Rule stands put Barack Obama will be our next president.

One thing for sure is that all of us should get out and vote. It is your right and your civic duty.
