1960-1969 Rookie Football Cards
In the 1960’s the modern day NFL was born. The AFL and NFL merged and the first Superbowl I was held in 1967 and the game has never been the same. Football cards from the 1960s ushered in a much higher quality card than what was previously offered. Topps began serious production of cards in the late 1960’s and has been in business ever since. Just as this era ushered in the modern era of football, this era ushered in the modern era of football cards.
Some of the greats of this era include the 1962 Fran Tarkington rookie card, 1963 Ray Nitschke rookie card, and the 1969 Larry Czonka rookie card. Perhaps no other rookie defined his era like the brazen maverick Joe Namath. The 1967 Joe Namath rookie card is much like the player himself. It offers brilliant colors and great photo of the man who called his shot in Superbowl III and put the AFL on the map.
We offer a tremendous selection of rookie football cards from this great era of the NFL. You can purchase 1960 football cards all the way through 1969 football cards. Shop around and you won’t be disappointed.
