When all is said and done this year it looks like Peyton Manning is going to win the MVP award this year. It seemed early in the season everyone was counting this experienced NFL superstar out and gave the Colts zero chance to go to the postseason. In fact many were asking the question is Peyton the best Manning in the NFL. However, since his rookie campaign, no NFL quarterback has been as consistenly good as Peyton Manning.

Over the last few weeks, Peyton Manning has shut up his critics., The Colts have won 8 games in a row and over that streak, Manning has been sensational. He has thorwn for 16 TDs and only 4 interceptions over the 8 game winning streak. As good as he has been over this period it may not even be the reason why he wins the NFL MVP. Against the Minnesota Vikings he was absolutly beaten up for 3 quarters and in the 4th quarter he took over leading the Colts on two critical touchdown drives.

We forget that he had completely reconstructed his knee in the off season and the Colts were slow getting out of the gate. Now with his knee getting stronger, all aspects of the Colts game have gotten better. The running game, nowhere to be found in the first 6 weeks is now viable. The passing game is looking like a well oiled machine as it usually does. Finally, the defense is better because the are not on the field all day long, so they are rested. The Colts are 11-4 going into the playoffs and I dont think any team in the NFL wants to play then come January. My odds on favorite to win the superbowl is the Colts - if they do rest assured Peyton manning will be the reason they succeed
